Supply and Install Commercial Windows and Doors in Mackay

The Project
The Byrnes Pie Factory is located in Mackay. The client wanted to upgrade all the windows and doors to make the premises more secure.

The Solution
After we inspected the business outlet we determined that all the glass windows and doors should be fitted with security hinges. In total, there were 11 windows and 2 sliding doors that would need to be removed and replaced.

Window and Door Removal Mackay

Prior to removing all the glass windows and glass doors we recorded all the frame sizes and numbered each section. This task was to make the transition to the new windows and doors a simpler exercise. Removing glass is a delicate task. Broken glass is dangerous and can be hard to see. Once all the glass was removed we took it back to our factory to be either recycled of stored as spare parts.

Installation of the New Glass Doors and Windows

We chose anodised frames as they are durable and have a natural finish. Anodising creates a protective film on the surface of aluminium. The windows were made from commercial grade toughened glass. The tint of the windows was a combination of grey and obscure. Grey tinted glass reduces the fading of furniture and carpet. Obscure tinted glass is typically used in toilets and bathrooms and provides privacy while letting in the light.

We fitted each of the sliding windows with Guardian screens which offer security and can withstand tough weather conditions.

The two security Prowler Proof Forcefield hinged security doors with Guardian screens were installed. The hinged doors can swing left or right and have a triple-point locking system.
