The Project
The home owner wanted us to remove their existing shower screen and replace it with a new shower screen.
The Solution
After our inspection of the shower in the bathroom we decided to supply and install a brand new black framed shower screen. The glass was going to be clear and the door could pivot in both directions.
We removed the entire shower screen and glass. When we remove shower screens, glass frames, windows and window frames we take them back to the factory to salvage any parts that could be used in future product repairs.
We were careful to measure out the area that we would be slotting in the new framed shower screen. It is important that all the edges fit squarely into position. This prevents water leakage and the buildup of unwanted waste. This shower screen came with an inline pivot door that could be opened and closed in both directions. Once we were happy with the shower screen install we sealed in all the edges.

An inline pivot shower door offers several advantages over other types of shower doors:
1. Space Efficient: Inline pivot doors are designed to swing open within the shower enclosure. This eliminates the need for clearance space outside the shower, making them suitable for bathrooms where space is limited.
2. Stylish Design: They often have a sleek and modern appearance, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the bathroom. The minimalistic frame and clear glass panels can make the bathroom feel larger and more open.
3. Accessibility: These doors are easy to operate with a pivot mechanism that allows for smooth opening and closing. They typically have a handle that provides a solid grip for users of all ages.
4. Seal Tightness: When closed, inline pivot doors provide a good seal against water leakage. This helps in maintaining the dryness of the bathroom floor and prevents water from escaping outside the shower area.
5. Variety of Configurations: Inline pivot shower doors come in various configurations to suit different shower layouts and sizes. They can be installed in alcove showers or combined with side panels for corner installations, providing flexibility in design.
6. Durability: High-quality materials such as tempered glass and sturdy hardware ensure that inline pivot doors are durable and long-lasting. They can withstand regular use without losing functionality or aesthetic appeal.
7. Ease of Maintenance: The smooth surface of glass doors makes them easy to clean with standard bathroom cleaners. Minimalist frames also reduce the areas where dirt and grime can accumulate, simplifying maintenance.
Overall, inline pivot shower doors combine practical functionality with modern design elements, making them a popular choice for many bathrooms.
