Protec is the smart choice for high value security. It’s built in our hi-tech factory as an all aluminium design with Prowler Proof’s famous welded corners.
The perforated aluminium mesh is thermally treated for increased strength and performance.
Intelligently designed hole pattern and size improves the open area for enhanced air flow and light transparency, while allowing for use in bushfire zones and withholding small insects. Finished with a wear resistant textured Teflon powder coat, it’s as durable as they come. The sheet is joined to a heavy duty aluminium frame in a process unique to Prowler Proof.
Protec is one of Australia’s best full aluminium security screens. The frame comes in over 300 colours to suit the black sheet. If you’re looking for security with high value, you can’t go past Protec.
Protec Features
Guardian® fall prevention screens create safe places for windows at height. Certain windows greater than 2.0m from the outside ground level need to meet the National Construction Code (NCC) fall prevention requirements, by using a restricted opening device, or if you want to open your windows completely an approved screen, such as Guardian is essential.
Guardian mesh is bonded into a fully welded, heavy duty aluminium frame. Because Guardian features stainless steel mesh, it’s low maintenance, and strong enough to stand up to the rigours of children and pets.

The biggest advantage, on a day to day basis is the accessibility to open and remove the screen to clean both screen and window glass, for a perfect view.

The new and improved Hinge Window security screen lockable handle has been designed to be able to be used in fall prevention settings for second storey residences.
We have introduced a new handle option which includes a lock and key. By introducing a key to the locking mechanism, it means that there is less risk of accidental window opening.
To allow it to be used as a fall prevention product, to Child Resistant level, then it must satisfy the requirements set out in the National Construction Code, meaning that the key must be mounted out of reach of small children, above 1700mm from ground or climbable object.
This new Night-Glow® design is also unique as it has been made from glow in the dark materials. If being used in an emergency you will be able to locate it without any problems, as it is visible and easy to find, day or night.
