The Project
The owner of this residential property wanted to add some security to the back entrance of the home using security sliding barrier doors.
The Solution
After our inspection, we determined that the best solution would be to supply and install diamond grille barrier doors. The security doors would include a security locking system. The back wall of the home was rendered in a cream colour so we chose black framed doors.
The first task was to measure out the area where we would be installing the barrier boors. Where the doors opened and closed had to be level to ensure the doors functioned properly. Once we had all the measurements we went back to the workshop to prepare the security barrier doors.
We arrived back at the property and squared off the space where we would install the sliding security doors. This task is critical so that the doors slot into the space without any gaps. Once we had all the angles square we slotted in the barrier doors. The fit was perfect and we set about fixing the doors into the frame.
Both the sliding doors ran along the rails smoothly when opening and closing. The key-locking system could be engaged from either side of the doors.
