Sliding Glass Door Installation in Ball Bay

Supply and Install Sliding Glass Doors with Diamond Grille Barrier Doors

The Project
The residential home owner requested us to remove and dispose of their existing glass doors. Then they wanted to replace these doors with new sliding doors that were secure.

The Solution
We inspected the property to get an understanding of the architecture and colour schemes of the home. We chose a set of Hamilton black framed with grey glass sliding doors. As security was also important we would install black diamond grille barrier doors.

Sliding Door Removal Ball Bay

We carefully removed the framed sliding doors from their housing. We took all the doors back to the factory. Depending on the state of the glass doors we remove they will either be completely recycled or stored as spare parts.

Installation of the Glass Sliding Doors

Once we had the framework cleaned we measured the area where we would install the new sliding doors. In total, we supplied 2 Hamilton XO and OXXO glass sliding doors and 2 barrier doors. The barrier doors had interlocks, locks and bug seals. All the frames were black and the diamond grille barrier doors were also black. The glass was gray which added more privacy. The barrier doors slide across the face of the sliding doors. The barrier doors also offer good ventilation whilst be securely locked.

Hamilton Sliding Door Features

Hamilton sliding doors come in multiple configurations from 2 doors up to 8 doors. The single-glazing thickness is 10.76mm and the double-glazed thickness is 22mm. These sliding doors are resistant to high wind pressure.

All the sliding door wheels have stainless steel ball bearings. The large sliding doors have heavy duty double rollers. The interlocking of the doors reduces the noise levels.

What does XO mean in sliding glass doors?

Put simply the X represents the sliding section of the door and the O is the fixed section of the sliding door.

  • XO sliding doors work well in small rooms with side openings.
  • OXO doors work well in central areas for balanced access.
  • OXXO sliding doors are ideal for large living spaces requiring wide, central access.
